Earning
10steps make a point
Points land in your wallet while you walk.
About 140 points a kilometre, counted as you go. Press Track and a walk counts in full with your phone in your pocket; steps you take without it still earn, at half the rate.
Walk anywhere and earn points. Walk through a sponsor’s booster zone and earn them faster. Spend them on coffee, gym passes and more across Doha.
For Android 8.0 and later, and for iPhone.

How it works
Emshi pays for walking, measured by your phone’s own step counter and checked against GPS, so a drive, a bus ride or a shaken phone doesn’t count.

Booster zones
3×inside a zone
Some streets pay more than others.
Sponsors put booster zones at their locations across Doha. Step inside one and every step pays double or triple until you leave.
Rewards
4ranks, Bronze to Diamond
Spend them on things you already buy.
Sponsors fund the catalogue: karak and coffee, retail, gym passes and more. Your rank is earned on lifetime points, so spending never demotes you.
Streak
5km a day, on foot
Clear it and the day counts.
One daily target, and only walking counts toward it: a drive or a treadmill earns none of it. Streak reminders stay off until you ask for them.
Your data
Emshi has to know where you walked to pay you for it. This is everything that happens after that.
Your route is checked, then dropped.
A walk goes to Emshi’s server to confirm it was walked and which zones it passed through. The server keeps the zone visits and the totals, not the route.
Health readings stay on your phone.
The Health tab reads steps, distance, active calories, workouts and heart rate from Health Connect, draws them and forgets them. None of it is sent to Emshi, and none of it pays.
Location only while you use it.
While Emshi is on screen, and during a walk you start with Track walk until you finish it — screen off included, under a notification you can see. Emshi never asks for “Allow all the time”.
Sponsors see counts, never you.
They get visitor numbers and dwell times for their zones. No names, no handles, no routes.
No ads, no analytics, no trackers.
No advertising ID, no analytics SDK and no crash reporter in the app.
Delete your account any time.
From Settings in the app, or by email. See what goes and what stays.
For businesses
Sponsors fund rewards and pay for zones at their locations. What they get back is verified footfall: people who physically walked in.
Unique visitors, not visits.
Distinct people, so you are never billed for one enthusiast walking in circles.
Median dwell time.
Reported beside the mean, because one forgotten open app drags a mean into fiction.
Checked walks only.
Every walk is checked against the phone’s step counter and plausible walking speeds. Suspected fraud is reported separately, never counted.
Counts, never people.
You see totals for your zones. Walkers’ names, accounts and routes are never shared.
